This picture, and the others in the series, were done as an assignment for my Illustration 1 class. We had to come up with a set of three illustrations for a story about a boy who was made king of the insects. I would reproduce it here, but I seem to have lost the paper we were given. Oh well. I decided to go with an old storybook type feeling to these in both the pencils and the coloring. The coloring was very fun - much looser and freer than my usual, since I did it in Painter. I love the blue tinges in this one in particular.
