Akio and Dios - End of Innocence
Akio and Dios from the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena, series version in this case. It doesn't take anything special to find many layers of meaning in this series, but I find the tragedy that is Akio/Dios particularly compelling. They find a way to bring out the most frightening and depressing aspects of the steady forward creep of time.
