The Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain series had me from the first moment Raziel, still in his proud vampire form, passed underneath the shadowed arch to emerge into the light in front of his brothers and master. The anguished scream that followed cemented the relationship. There are more twists and turns in those games than any carnival funhouse, and they never seem to stop coming.
